Visiting another country on vacation can leave one feeling like you have experienced all there is to experience from a particular culture. But we all know that when you get in with the locals you get to see nuances, challenges, beauty, and even opportunity that you may have missed because you were not looking at the experience the same way that those who live there day in and day out.
Jamaica is one such example. The experiences most people have in a resort is different than those who live there, work there, and call it “home.”
Entrepreneurs Across Borders mission is to identify, curate, and connect seasoned entrepreneurs with emerging entrepreneurs in developing nations like Jamaica.
We would love to include you in an exclusive experience we are calling Beyond the Beach IMPACT Tour.
We will spend three days seeing a different side of Jamaica with an eye towards how we might use our collective networks to transform the lives of both startup entrepreneurs and micro entrepreneurs across the entire country.
This is a trip unlike any vacation you have ever experienced.
- You will hear from locals working hard to transform their nation.
- You will see how Hurricane Melissa disrupted so many lives and how entrepreneurship is a leading method of recovery.
- You will collaborate with development banks and government officials who want to learn from your experiences.
- You will have the opportunity to develop real relationships with startup entrepreneurs who are building the future.
- You will see areas where gangs have used corruption and the drug trade to become political operatives.
Most importantly you will come home having made a difference, and with a clear understanding of how your unique experiences as an investor or entrepreneur can help elevate Jamaica moving forward.
We will be staying at the beautiful "AC Hotel" a beautiful hotel in the heart of New Kingston.
As if this was not enough there are plenty of opportunities to extend your time in Jamaica with time at the beach, a north coast world-renowned resort, or even visits to the Bob Marley Museum. We are happy to help you craft a trip that will be unforgettable!

Kick off the tour together over a true taste of Jamaica — think iconic jerk, local BBQ, and classic sides, washed down with ice-cold Red Stripe and freshly squeezed fruit juices, finished off with a traditional Jamaican dessert. We'll also be talking with some locals to give you a crash course on what you're about to experience.

Food For The Poor Spanish Town Headquarters Tour
Get a first-hand look at the work of Food For The Poor, EAB's longtime partner organization, and the vital role they play in the lives of Jamaicans living below the poverty line. After more than 40 years on the ground, Food For The Poor is one of the most recognizable institutions in the country. You'll tour their operations, hear from staff about relief and community development work, and see how the EAB–FFTP partnership is turning entrepreneurship into a real pathway for recovery.
Micro Entrepreneur Site Visit
Head into the field to meet a micro-entrepreneur where their business actually happens. We may visit someone like Christine Ryan of Pure Natural Mystik, a beekeeper based in Portmore, St. Catherine, whose business — built from the ground up with support from EAB's mentor network — is a living example of how a small idea, like natural honey and skincare products, can grow into a sustainable livelihood. Hear directly from a local entrepreneur about the realities of building a business in Jamaica, and how access to markets, mentors, and capital made the difference.
Team Lunch
A genuine Jamaican food experience — refuel between visits with a team lunch that lets the morning's conversations carry over.
Operation Friendship Skill Training Center
Operation Friendship Skill Training Centre offers training in marketable skills to vulnerable young people living in volatile areas of Kingston. We'll meet with the Centre's Chairman, learn about the challenges their beneficiaries face daily, and host a breakout session where students and entrepreneurs are up-leveled by your wisdom and experience.
Team Dinner
Close out the day at Broken Plate in Liguanea, a dinner spot owned by a young and thriving chef and entrepreneur, Chef Stewie — a great example of the next generation of Jamaican culinary entrepreneurship.

Top Shop in the Field
Step into the everyday engine of Jamaica's economy: the neighborhood shop. We'll visit Top Shop entrepreneurs on their own turf to see first-hand how these micro-businesses anchor their communities — and the real-world logistics, margins, and hustle it takes to keep the doors open every day.
Top Shop Program Participants Mentorship
Sit down with 10–15 Top Shop owners for a structured mentorship exchange:
· Shop owners share their stories and what they sell
· A look at the logistics of running a small retail business in Jamaica
· How EAB's support has helped their shops grow
· Speed Dating Mentorship — quick, rotating one-on-one conversations pairing Tour guests directly with shop owners for focused, practical business advice
Lunch
A midday break to regroup before an afternoon centered on connection.
The Linkup
In Jamaican vernacular, to "link up" means to meet, connect, or get together with someone — a chain-link metaphor for people joining together, whether for a casual hangout or a planned meetup. A facilitated exchange where every participant arrives with experience to share and something new to learn — and where we formally celebrate EAB's inaugural Entrepreneurial Mindset Accelerator graduating cohort.
Small mixed tables of 4–5 — two to three EABConnect entrepreneurs, two Tour guests, and one EAB/Food For The Poor facilitator — work through real entrepreneurial questions drawn from the Accelerator curriculum and submitted by the EABConnect community. After each round, everyone rotates to a new table and a new question, so no two conversations are the same. Ideas, insights, and memorable quotes get captured right on the table paper, building a collective record of the day's thinking.
We close with a moment of reflection and reciprocity: each participant shares one idea that challenged their thinking, and one relationship they hope to continue beyond the session — because The Linkup isn't the end of the connection, it's the start.

Wrap Up Dinner at Mezza Luna - Kingston
Close out the Impact Tour in style at Mezza Luna, Kingston's Mediterranean-fusion rooftop restaurant on Constant Spring Road. We'll take over a private room to reflect on the week, celebrate the new relationships built across the table, and toast to what comes next — for the Accelerator graduates, for EABConnect, and for the entrepreneurs you just met.
